This is an Alex DeGrassi tune I recorded earlier this week in a friend's garage studio. If you're familiar with my YouTube videos in which I usually sing, this will be something completely different. The guitar is in an odd tuning (DADEAD) and I finger pick--no flat pick involved. My friend and I recorded some stuff earlier this week that will air on an "internet radio" station this Friday afternoon, from 4:30 to 6 PM. The show is there to earn money for a local club owner who had to shut down because of a rent increase. Most of us in the "Martinez Music Mafia" have played there, and so have some really famous people. I hope you enjoy the music. It was a first take, so its not quite perfect, but the overall feel of the song comes through.

@TheHorse thanks for the guidance. I have seen it now. You remind me of my friend who is a guitar wizard. His last recording is a Christmas album.

@TheHorse there are many good guitarists here. One is named RJ Jacinto who owns a radio and tv station. The rich guy plays well and he rents a bistro for his stage with the drinking audience.

@Alexandoy I have a cool Christmas album by an excellent Canadian singer, songwriter and guitarist. His name is Bruce Cockburn. But I doubt many people here, other than @FourWalls, have heard of him. Maybe I'll do a post about him some day.

@TheHorse Thank you--it was a nice way for me to move from "working" stuff to the garden

@divalounger The garden sounds like fun. I planted some new tomatoes and corn today. My sunflowers and green beans are looking good.

So you’re a fan of DADEAD? Who’d you prefer o lead vocals, Weir or Garcia?
Amazing, but then I can’t even play in EBGDAE tuning.....

@1creekgirl I hope you enjoy it. 20 years ago, I was really into alternative tunings and gentle Irish-sounding stuff, especially Alex DeGrassi and Richard Thompson. Then I got bitten by the bluegrass bug, and started playing a lot in standard tunings. The virus, and the lack of gigs, gave me time to get back to my "roots." I hope you find it pretty. It's a "first take," so it's not perfect, but I still like it.

@TheHorse Love it. Clean and great tune.
I have to be honest that you play guitar better than me.

@BenWardhana I hope you repeat it! Once in awhile, I like what comes out of my mouth! Do you mean my guitar playing? Or my Collings OM-1?

I watched it, you play very well and very clean I always wished that I could play the guitar well but I just don't have enough talent lol the reason why I appreciate people who do.

Wonderful as usual. Very soothing. I wanted to learn how to play the guitar; but my dog at the time couldn't handle it and barked constantly.

@Adie04 I mostly listen to classical and jazz! Here's my only piano effort on YouTube. Let me know if you like it. Or if it's too simple.
