Hello! I woke up with colds today so I’m feeling terrible but that’s not the point. I am a procrastinator. I push all my work until it’s almost the time of their deadline and it’s been my problem since I was in high school.
If there’s still more days remaining before I need to submit it, my mind always goes ‘you still have more time’ so I end up doing it the day before. And I always regret it. All the time. But I never change that habit of mine.
So can you suggest any tips on how I can be more productive? And how can I solve my problem as a procrastinator?

Here's what I do:
When I procrastinate, I tend to think about what I am supposed to do most of the time. It kinda ruins whatever I'm trying to enjoy.
That's why I do things as soon as I can because when I'm done, I'd be enjoying things wholeheartedly. Imagine being able to eat a hearty meal or binge-watch your favorite show without any guilt or worry.
But I'm sure you can't do that right off the bat. You should turn it into a habit. And if you fail, don't beat yourself too hard. Take the failure as the punishment on its own then try to look into why you failed in the first place.

procrastination can be avoided by sticking to a schedule. Break a large difficult task into a smaller task. As you gain confidence your will stop procrastinating.

@seserica it's a habit and i believe you can change it. The best way to change is try to do your task earlier, not all at once but pieces by pieces. Need to push yourself more harder.

Every person is different. Procrastination is not always a bad thing. Some people perform better when they are up against a deadline, and have their backs against the wall. They thrive in high-pressure situations. So for people like that, procrastinating and waiting until the last minute actually benefits them, and sparks their creativity and productivity. Other people are more productive and perform well when they can take their time, plan, and work at a slower pace. People like that cannot often handle last-minute deadlines. It stifles their creativity and productivity. I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't start on projects and assignments right away, but I also don't wait until the last minute.

Same with me! I don't know why I am so lazy. But I overcome it by writing a schedule of work that I have to do along with punishment for myself if I postpone it
