Only Two More Days

It's a very humid start to the day this Saturday morning. We have a chance of rain later this afternoon. Our temps are supposed to be warmer this weekend after having a couple of cooler days. It looks like the sale of the properties my brother works for will finally go through this time. It was supposed to happen back in March but due to the stock market crash because of the coronavirus, it was put on hold. So, unless something happens, it will go through on Tuesday. Only two more business days. I am so glad for my brother. He has been through so much stress over the last few years. It's started affecting his health so this sale couldn't come at a better time. He is planning on taking a few weeks off to rest and take it easy before looking for another job. He was talking about us taking a few mini trips, but when he heard about Texas and Florida having increases in the coronavirus, he thought better of it. We will be staying home and I'm so glad he changed his mind. I hope everyone has a great weekend. If you go out, please be safe as it seems like this virus is starting to go through a second wave. I hope I'm wrong. **The photo above is from Pixabay. It has nothing to do with my post, I just love waterfalls**

So happy the sale will go through. A staycation is the smart thing to do right now.

I think so too. But he is talking about going to a beach, other than Florida, and just staying for a couple of days. I'm not sure about it because even if the beaches don't have a lot of people, there are still the hotel rooms to worry about.

@DianneN I feel the same way. To me, you would stand a better chance of getting the virus from a hotel room.

It is a lot better to stay home, the number of new cases is scary, unless you want to go to North Dakota.

I think it's better to stay home too. But, he now wants to go to a beach, not Florida. I'm going to do my best to talk him out of it.

Hoping your brother can start feeling better once he has some time off to relax. I'm sure he'll find another job when he starts to look. Hope you haven't unpacked all those boxes?? Yes, it looks like the second wave of corona virus is surging once again. I'm not surprised with all the protests going on these past few weeks.

I hope he will relax too. Fortunately, he has found another job and starts a week from Monday. Yes, we unpacked the boxes after we knew we weren't moving. We have decided that we want to stay in Louisville. I agree about the virus and the protests. With California, Texas and Florida, I just pray it doesn't go anywhere else. But common sense tells me that it will eventually like it did before. We are better prepared this time with food and toilet paper.

I don't blame him for taking a few weeks off, but with the state of the job market, it might be better if he puts a few feelers out sooner rather than later.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well, I am worried. It's for the same company but a different position. He will be training other properties and he will do reports. Two days a week he does the training. The other three days he works from home. He has the same regional he had before and she took advantage of him all the time. Even though he is on vacation, she has talked him into working Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Yesterday, she was wanting him to work on a report. He says he's not going to let her treat him the way she did before but I have my doubts. I am so angry but what can I do about it? It's his life and his job. I did voice my opinion.

You should be able to find some places to visit locally and do little day trips. I always find those to be so much fun. As we are starting to reopen there are cases being reported, and it has a devastating effect because then they need to start testing people who were in contact with the infected person and everyone in their bubble.

@simone10 I cannot imagine doing anything beyond day trips. Even those include meals out and the possibility of using a public washroom. I have not used a public restroom since February, and I'm not in any hurry to start any time soon. We are reopening very very slowly. I feel that it is working, we are planking the curve. I hope that people in your country realize that the path that they are on is not working before more people die. On the news yesterday they reported that 35 states reported new cases, and that is so disheartening because most people on our site that are American, sound like they are careful and not out and about.

@Juliaacv I believe that they opened some things here sooner than they should have. It's very possible that if a second wave hits, we will all be locked down again.

I think day trips would be great. We have talked about it before. We are having more cases too, and it's scary. I'm beginning to think that the virus will never go away. Hopefully there will be a vaccine soon.

@Alexandoy Yes, it is the safest. Day trips might be possible, but then if you are out too long you might have to use a public restroom and I don't want to do that.

I am worried that our state will be hit with another wave. There have been a couple of clusters here. But, because it isn't in our neck of the woods there are people that believe we are done with it. That is what scares me most. People letting down their guard and going about their lives as if this never happened.
