Social media good for children or not ?

Every day my brother's kids use to play using,
phone now a days kids are more smarter than,
we use to be when were kids .
I hardly knew how to use mobile phones & ,
Computers when I was kid because I had ,
not much interest.
By if we see this generation kids are more ,
intelligent like 5th generation computers,
a kid not even went to High school knows,
how to use latest gadgets even we don't,
know they teach grand parents how to use,
these devices.
But what dou you think is it good for this younger generation to have more knowledge about,
1) social media or using latest gadgets ??.
2) Will it help them to learn something new ,
in thier everyday life while they are growing ??.
3) Will destroy their concentration on their,
school days ??.
4) Will it make then arrogant to fight with ,
their parents to buy new phone or latest,
Gadgets ??.
5 ) Will these new generation kids would ,
be more advanced in coming future & dominate,
us when would become old ??.
Suggestions are welcome.

i remember a people who says " we better teach how to have social skill to our child before they have a social media"
it think it's make sense cause sometimes i see a lot of people using social media but dont have social skill. they respond to other people badly in social media

It depends upon their kind of usage and awareness.
But usually it brings chances to acquire knowledge, earn money etc.

Knowing kids, they may become addicted because social media, but parents can always take a step ahead by limiting their access or set up parent control feature.
