What are the effective ways to fight with depression

June 28, 2020 10:16pm CST
Depression has no particular face and not always can it be expressed in words.Self-doubt. Future is abstract and my mind has always been calculative. Failing was a fear until I did. Thereafter it was a fear of putting efforts and not getting the desired result. Self-pity. I have had been into it many times. I would pity my situation of having everything needed to lead a normal life still going bonkers of petty things. Look at happy girls and pity my situation. Depressing period. The summers were coldest for me. When the blazing sun, burned the earth in the afternoon, I would curl myself up in a blanket with fans off. Sometimes I would be sleeping the whole day to get up and sleep again. Hunger was deceptive. Sometimes I would be hungry like I had been homeless for the entire life and somedays, an entire day could be passed without having a single crumb. Self-harm. Finally. The weight of the anxiety, guilt, was weighing too much on my head and to distract myself this happened to be the dangerously alluring way out. Suicidal thought. I remember staring at the train zooming into the platform and thinking how would it be like just jumping off and ending it for once and for all. Finding an effective way to die peacefully. IF taking sleeping pills would work? How bad I wanted to peacefully sleep and never wake up.

Welcome to myLot. Enjoy the site! The first step for all newbies is to read the Guidelines to learn what is allowed or not on the site. Although it is not obligatory, you can write a post introducing yourself so that we can get to know you. Furthermore, read around as much as you can, Like and Comment on other members' posts. Only then will members come to your site and do the same. This is called interaction. Although it is optional, adding the name of your country to your account page will help make some of your discussions easier to understand for other members. Don't expect too much money-wise. If you reach $5 a month (the payout limit), you can call yourself lucky.
This is where you will find out what kinds of behavior are accepted and unaccepted on myLot. When in doubt, remember the Golden Rule!

@Mnpo098 effective way ?, everyone has different approach to overcome depression. Everyone has different stages and status. As starting point, you should open youself, tell someone about what you feel. Bad things happen if you keep all of those burden only for yourself. Keep the spirit !, happiness is created, not dreaming it....
