A person who was assisting his friend move into their new home in Guilford Connecticut is thankful that his friend had the presence of mind to contact 911 to inform the local firefighters that one person fell down 30 feet into a well when the victim fell through the floor inside the home that was built in 1843.
What had happened was that the previous tenant had renovated the home and the well that was formerly outside the home had been moved inside the home that had been covered with a wooden panel that gave way when the victim fell down into the well that was filled with cold water.
The victim struggled to keep his head above water for a period of 25 minutes when the Guilford Fire Department arrived to use the rope method to get the accident victim out of the well safe and sound.
The accident victim only suffered minor injuries from a fall of 30 feet which is incredible since falls into wells at that height can cause some serious injuries from the impact of the landing.
At least the local firefighters who rescued the accident victim will be rewarded in the future for their successful rescue mission that happened on Sunday.

@amitkokiladitya I know what you mean since even though it is fake on television and movies, in real life it is very scary.

@Deepizzaguy You don't expect something like that to happen when you are inside a house.

I am sure that the accident victim was shocked when he fell down 30 feet to the water below. I know I would scream loud if I were in his shoes.
