How was it like to be quarantined?

It was a lifetime experience of being quarantined for 2 months at home with no excess to the outside world as all businesses were frozen except for supermarkets with limitation of customers allowed in. We were not allowed to step out of the house for a solid two months of that quarantine period. It was like being imprisoned but in the comfort of our own homes. Nobody dared to go out as policemen were everywhere monitoring those who break the order. Once caught means a hefty penalty. So we stay put at home glued to the tv or socializing virtually. One good thing that came out from this quarantine was I learn to grow vegetables and now enjoying my own organic veggies. The covid 19 epidermic has created new norms in many people lives. Life will never be the same again.

UK lockdown wasn't like many...possibly why we have more deaths than most countries per capita but who knows. I've been back at work for a month or so so I feel back to normal in many ways. I agree, life will never be the same again...we will have to get used to a new normal until it just becomes normal.

Hi Mike, our country was considered not too bad in dealing with this devastating epidermic. The authorities were very strict in implementing the quarantine so not many deaths were recorded. Many people are back to work but many have also lost their jobs due to closure of businesses. Schools here are still closed.

I've been practicing guitar, reading, and working on a book I'm writing. But I DO go shopping, etc. now and then. I'd go "stir crazy" if I were totally stuck at home.

Housebound is a hellish experience but getting the hands busy and tickling the brains on something worthy may not end up in a mental asylum. lol..

@zandi458 Exactly. MyLot helps me keep busy, and my "hobbies" help. I've also gotten some longish books read.
