Good afternoon from hot and humid Green Bay, Wisconsin. The current temp is 87 F with dew points in the low 60s making it humid. Okay, enough with the weather report.
I've had a busy morning. After swimming, I went shopping, little realizing it was payday today instead of tomorrow. It must be a holiday tomorrow as well as Friday. So, all my bills are paid for July.
I'm planning on making a red, white, and blue fruit salad for the Fourth of July. That will be Saturday. Tomorrow, I'm doing laundry. Everyone is good at my son's now, so no worries going over there.
I didn't spend much time at home this morning and when I did, Windows decided to do a major update which effectively put a stop to my work on Vendetta. No worries, I got more exercise while I watched a program.
I've just finished with Vendetta for today. The scene I'm working on is coming along well. I should finish it tomorrow.
Okay, that was my morning and early afternoon. You guys really want to know all that right?
Yesterday was a good day for food and exercise. I went to bed early, so I didn't get as many steps as I usually do, but I got a good night's sleep. At least I think I did. I went to bed at 7 and woke an hour late this morning at 3:30 which should be over 8 hours, but the sleep tracker is showing 6.5 hours. It must have taken a while for my brain to shut down, though I thought I went right to sleep.
Here then are yesterday's food and fitness numbers.

@MommyOfEli2013 I didn't think I would get anything done on the computer as busy as this morning was.

When you start writing a new book, such as Vendetta you're working on now, on average how long does it take you to complete the writing of the book? Meaning, before you start the editing process. I've always been curious how long it takes an author to write a book.

@just4him It sure is a complicated process to write and publish a book! I'm glad you can stick with it and not lose patience. And I'm sure writer's block hits just about every writer at some point.

Without all the stalling with writer's block, about six months. With stalling and writer's block, it can take years. But that's me and how I write. I also work on several at a time because I get those times when I open a book and have no clue how to proceed because the characters aren't talking to me. Then I work on something else until they do. Right now, Vendetta is going well and I hope it continues because I've told my fans of Thread of Evidence I'll have it finished by the end of the year so I can get it published next year.
The publishing process can take just as long, about six months.

The daily diet of the elderly must be based on fruits and vegetables, with a proper amount of meat. Avoid eating too much meat every day. Because meat is organic and difficult to digest. But the old people's digestive function is not so strong. If you eat too much meat every day, it will increase the burden on the stomach of the elderly, making the stomach in a state of overload for a long time. Or indigestion. But if the elderly in the daily diet to vegetables, eat meat properly. Vegetables are easier to digest, which can reduce the burden on the stomach. In addition, vegetables contain a lot of vitamins, including some anti-aging substances, which can slow down the aging speed of elderly cells. Eating meat properly also provides protein for the elderly.
In the middle-aged and old people's diet, three meals should be normal, avoid big fish and meat, excessive drinking and so on. Three meals of meat and vegetable should be reasonable, to fish, chicken and other high protein and low fat meat. Fat cattle, sheep and other high fat content of meat as far as possible to eat, or even do not eat. Vegetables are mainly to reduce blood fat and blood sugar. For example, wax gourd and pumpkin can be eaten more.
In addition, the elderly in the daily diet should pay attention to eat less spicy food and pickled food. Because these two kinds of food to the old people's intestines and stomach will have bigger harm

@youfans I am not at all amused by your comment. I do not consider myself elderly. I don't know how old you are. I realize you are new to myLot and don't know the success I've been having with the food program I'm on. You would also know not to suggest chicken as I'm allergic to it. You would also see I don't eat meat and haven't for at least a month.
It would be really great if you would at least look at what I ate before you make such a comment about my eating habits which you know nothing about.
Thanks for offending me!!!
