Hard Rain!

It is raining hard now!
But may I ask- is that question acceptable ? Is it really hard rain when the raindrops sound so loud on galvanized rooftops? It is like hail is pouring from the skies; so strong that I presume the garden's soil is already immediately so wet.
This is the very first rain of July. Most possible it will be cool night tonight, and also, the frogs will sing, dance, and croak again.
Is it raining hard in your place now?

We don't have that problem. It may be because we have a floor above us and an attic above that. I wish we could hear more rain. The best place is in our family room, because there is no floor above it and it has two skylights in it.

me too. when the raindrops are big, they produce sounds that soothe me, but the problem would be, it is difficult to talk and respond to others, to the point that we have to raise our voices to a few more decibels.

I believe there is a phrase or term raining hard or rain hard. Just today, we had a hard downpour.

yes it was, but it was also shortened. we expected the rain to be overnight, but it stopped before 7:30PM. no frogs though

it is bad too if what falls is the hail, or when there is hailstorm. it may break the glass window of cars

@thelme55 i have seen some instances that bigger hail stones can actually cause shattered glass windows even cars.

@emnuhpe me too. but if the rain gets heavy already, i do not like the flooding in our lawn
