We need support of our parents and family in what we become in life but that doesn't mean you cannot do well without it but in India things are little different so am talking about that aspect. I always receive Full Support of my parents in anything I like to do in life even if it's for choice of college, work and actually everything. Are you satisfied with the support you received from your family or parents or both?

We parents are the backbones of our children from the day they are born until we depart from our earthly existence. I have and will always support my children and often give them words of encouragement so they gain stronger confidence in whatever they do.

@Butterfingers Somehow my children always feel the obligations to care for their aged parents. And I am fortunate that I get monthly emoluments from them. I guess it is payback time.lol

@Butterfingers That's how it should be, but it's a shame more parents aren't supportive.

We noticed in Nepal that families are very closely connected to each other and very supportive.

@Butterfingers It's a very lovely trait and other cultures could well take a lesson from it.

I did have great parents, sadly I lost my dad way too soon, but at least my mom is still alive.

Both my parents were extremely supportive of me. If I had a problem I could always go to them for help. They provided me with love, were proud of me, and cared about me very much.

I'm grateful for all that they've done for me and will try my best to keep them proud and happy. That's the only way I could give back, though it still is very little for all the pains they took and sacrifices they made for me.
