Do you prefer a wooden floor for your house?

Our floor is made of tiles. I don't like it because I, many times, have slipped on the floor and stairs made of tiles. Reason why I was rushed to the hospital for CT scan. I always like a wooden floor just like our previous house. Not slippery when wet and even if I slip, it won't hurt. Do you prefer it too?

Wooden floor is very artistic. It is called "parquet". And i very like it. it's just that the price is more expensive than tiles. And its installation requires a carpenter with special skill.

yes. That was our floor before. The only bad side of it is when it gets wet, the wooden tile comes out.

Nothing but hardwoods here. Carpeting for years but not again. Much easier to clean too.

@Janet357 I mop every other day using a soft mop and a dusting product. Once a week I wash with a damp mop (water is enemy of wood, so not too much water) and I dry using a clean mop. Twice a year I apply a special product to protect the wood. We never walk with shoes on the wooden floors, we use indoors shoes to walk inside the house.

Our home now has linoleum and carpet floors. I work at homes with wooden floors, and some that have tiles. Tiles are my least favorite because they are slick when they get wet.

Part of our home is carpeted, while the rest of it is laminate flooring. It looks like natural wood, but it's slippery also.

Yes, I prefer the wooden floor. When I was still very small, we had a house with bamboo floor and I can still remember how nice it was sleeping on that floor. Later, when we moved to another house, our floor was made of wood. It was also good.

Yes, wooden floors seem to me to be much better but I can't afford it so I hope to get vinyl flooring in the living room one day.
