Why laptop's microphone is not as good as the external one ?

So Ive been trying to recording video with my voice recorded by my laptop's microphone. But the result is my voice is buzzing with wind sounds and not so good. I look at the internet, they often use external microphone for recording. Why laptop's mic cant be dependable? Is it one of marketing strategy to buy external microphone?or theres a thing that I dont know ?

Laptops don't have high quality microphones. You have two buy external microphone too the disered results.

Because of compact and many facilities it may happen like this as also speaker also not give proper output too.

Yep Im trying to use external mic for a video recording now and maybe buy some proper mic in the future

i don't know much, but my laptop's mic is fine and i don't need it too often, so it wouldn't bother me if it didn't work at all. can you use your headphone's mic?

usually put a headset on a laptop and use the microphone from the headset instead and the sound is good. Maybe you can try it.
