Tea, Anyone?

I’m a coffee drinker, but enjoy high tea and cream tea. My friend,
@garymarsh6, recently posted the type of tea times in England.
I loved those High Teas at the Savoy and Ritz hotels in London and gone to many at the Ritz, now Taj, in Boston. I have been to high teas in New York and Connecticut, too. My favorite cream teas took place somewhere in England.
High teas serve tea or coffee, smoked salmon and other dainty appetizers, a variety of delicious finger sandwiches, scones, and tiny adorable little cakes and fruits.
My photo is a section of our formal living room. When we had it redecorated, I insisted on a settee and tea table to entertain friends with high tea. Unfortunately, I never got around to it. The only one who enjoyed that settee was Doodles the cat.
Guess where I’m sitting and having my morning coffee right this minute?

This reminds me of the time that I was assigned work in London for 4 months. I was surprised that they drink tea with milk. Our office fridge has the tea and fresh milk. What I did was to drink the fresh milk every morning, waheehee.

@amitkokiladitya I only have one cup a day, but I filled the silver coffee pot just so I can sip it in this room.

You have a "formal living room" LOL. I have a combo living & dining room. It doesn't matter, I love my little place. That's a beautiful setting you have there.
I've never even had high tea. One of my nieces fell in love with it when she visited London. She takes my sister out for high tea sometimes. I like the looks of the little fancy cakes they serve!

@CinnamonGrl Yes, it's always good for a special time out with or without the girls. My daughter-in-law had a shower at one. New outfits are always fun - tea or no tea.

That is a lovely settee Dianne. I could join you in that cozy living room drinking a creamy cup of English tea and eating scones or something. I have that kind of silver wear. I forgot about it. I should use it next time when my friend visits me.

Thanks and I would love to have you visit me for tea or anything!
I have so many silver tea sets and a cabinet filled with them thanks to my husband's antique hunting, my shopping, and our travels. I really should sell most of them after the virus and bring one set to Florida.
