visible veins

few days ago i was standing and noticed that the vein on my leg was so visible and maybe even bigger than it should be and now i'm kinda worried. the one that bothers me the most is the one on my shin. my legs are really nice and i don't want my veins to be visible i can even see the veins on my thighs. i googled it and it says that people who have fair skin or light hair are more likely to have visible veins, so i'll try not to worry and maybe use some self-tanning to see if they'll become less visible. i would post a photo, but they aren't that visible when i take a photo. so i found this one on the internet...well mine are a bit less visible, but i want them not to be visible at all. i googled it and self tanning seems like the only cheap method to make things better...oh well... do you have some experience with this? any tips how to solve this?

I have fairly light skin, and don't have visible veins. I do have a few spider veins, which can be treated with saline injections. I'll wait until they get more noticeable.

@aureategloom They are less intrusive than varicose veins.

@DianneN i know, but neither spider veins or varicose veins are my problem. but if i don't solve it with tanning...ehhh i might go to see my doctor

Yes, I am extremely pale and you can see the veins in my arms. I haven't really noticed them on my legs, but I do not usually wear clothes that show my legs. You might find some self tanning lotion, but I suppose you could also just wear tights or leggings.

@aureategloom Well, I do not tan. I usually burn and then peel. However, when I have been able to tan, it has seemed to help hide them.

I thought they were your legs in the photo. I have not examined my legs for a long time. I seldom see them because I always wear pants.

i like wearing shorts when it's hot and that's when i can see this and when it bothers me. sometimes i wear pants that are a bit under my knees, but if that vein on shin appears, it's still visible...to me

@aureategloom I see how they are visible in the picture. Did you talk to your doctor about them?
