Right, you are right. this is a tiny ginger tree. I planted the tubers about a month ago and the leaves began to grow. ginger is very useful. it is a seasoning that adds flavor to food or cakes. it can warm the body when mixed with tea. I am very grateful to God, who made plants grow.

@DianneN We are down south and my mother had great success growing ginger. It's a beautiful plant, reminds me of bamboo.

@emnuhpe Savory dishes would be fried rice, sweet n sour chicken, soups, that kind of thing. I also like it in sweets especially hot cocoa with cinnamon and ginger.

In my neck in the woods this would resemble a weed. I'm not saying you're is a weed though. I just wouldn't have known he I saw we done in your part of the world.

i planted some ginger in our flower pots. i pulled them out once to prepare myself some appetizers with the spring ginger.

Dont forget to water and fertilize it. You can harvest it after 8 months mate
