If there was no money in this world. No gold, no silver or no other form. Which profession would you pick?

India

I read this question in a book and it changed the way I looked at the world. I decided that I had to look for something that would give rewards which would fulfill me. It was like flowing with the flow without losing oneself. It was like a kite flying in the sky without any fuel. A kite that was in control of the person flying it. The nature would not mind its presence as well. Because it would harness the energy of the nature.

I would be a writer and poet, maybe also a publisher or writing teacher. The only reason I don't write full time now is because I'm not able to make a regular guaranteed income with it. It is, however, my passion and something I do in my spare time. It would absolutely be what I'd do if there was no need to earn a wage.

I would not focus in anything but, maybe some small hobbies, but, the most important, I would focus on the skills needed to grow a family, to educate my kids, to be a good husband and a good partner, a good friend, growing plants, making food, So I would teach my kids the same in the future.

If there's no money or gold. I rather spend my time taking care of animals, then I can ask help to some animals e.g cow to harvest crops on the farm

I would still do what I'm doing. Provide services for people just have them barter rather than paying me outright. We already have several jobs we barter for services they do for us like our eye care and dental care. I would be a writer and maybe you'd get your groceries a different way.
• Midland, Michigan
23 Jul 20
@piyushbhatia1 Some will allow barter for payment, yes. We have several that we've worked with through the years for the money owed after the insurance pays their part. I have a few more that I could do that with but some I want the payments and the others I can do it either way. It's mostly up to me.
• India
23 Jul 20
@MarshaMusselman It would be much better than mobile payment where in a person is supposed to have a phone just to buy.

@piyushbhatia1 I would rather work for things other than just money. Money is used however and therefore required?
• India
17 Jul 20
@mynameiskate I read about this question in Trump's book. From there on I started searching for the answer. Then I realized that I won't do anything without money. Hence I realized that I will be happy around it. Whether I get paid or not.

Then it might be a banker's job. They deal with money all the time. They can't exist without money.
