I like to cook but I am not the type who eats round the clock.
But if there are some foods I like to eat, these are noodles and grilled pork belly. I am not talking about instant noodles. I avoid them because of their presevatives.
I also like baked salmon and some kind of local cake.
For dessert, I like ice cream and chocolates.
For soups, I like beef soup.

@Janet357 I am a little picky, I don't like Mango, Avocado, Octopus, Blue Cheese and a few others. I am adventurous with foods, I will try it so I know if I like it or not. You can't say you don't like something unless you have tried it.

I love lobster it is such a subtle taste. It makes me laugh when people in Main sigh and say oh not lobster! Funnily enough we get most of our lobsters from Canada. I eat British bacon (never American bacon it is too over cooked for me) but I do not eat pork I just don't like the taste. We rarely if ever have a desert I prefer a nice strong coffee instead.
My favourite soup is home made cream of Broccoli and Stilton soup. I tend to be very heavy handed with black pepper. It is delicious!

@Janet357 When we cook bacon we like it slightly brown to a little bit crispy but not how it is cooked in the USA. where it is burnt to a crisp. We also use different cuts of bacon which is usually back bacon whereas in the USA it is what we would call streaky bacon. I have found a photo of British style bacon and American style bacon. We still have different cuts but generally it looks like the photo.
Lobster is extremely expensive here although a Canadian outfit has opened restaurants in London Called Burger and Lobster and you can get a smallish lobster or a lobster Brioche for around £22.

@garymarsh6 Got it. Thanks for explaining it to me. I think I like British bacon because you can taste its juiciness.
Lobsters here are cheaper in provinces but in the city it is quite expensive too.

@Janet357 The kinds of Asian foods I like are the glazed chicken and glazed pork. I also like egg drop soup and the fried rice mixed with vegetables.
As for the tastes and textures of Greek foods, there is the spinach pie consting of crisp phylo dough filled with spinach and feta cheese. The flavors are savory. The traditional Greek gyro consists of the sweet flavor of pita bread topped with savory lamb, tomato slices, onion and tsiziki sauce.

I love fried potatoes with fried mushrooms. Also fried liver with onions. Caviar sandwiches too. Black caviar is my favorite. And I gotta have baked good like pies, danishes, muffins etc, with some gourmet cheese on the side. These are just some of the things I love.

@Janet357 What are ordinary fish eggs? As far as I know, red caviar comes from salmon and black caviar from pike or sturgeon.

@Janet357 Rendang or randang is meat cooking. This dish is produced from a long-term low temperature cooking process using a variety of spices and coconut milk. The cooking process takes many hours until all that remains is a thick black piece of meat and bran.
