Distancing in the restaurant

It was my first time in the mall this morning and I had wanted to eat a Spanish omelet so I went to Pancake House. That 6-seater can only seat 1 regardless of who the companion is. It can only accommodate me so my wife has to sit in another table. Isn't that ridiculous?

YES, this is ridiculous, here we must keep distancing, but members of the same family can sit at the same table, the limitation is a maximum of 4 per table.

@Alexandoy If you live together, it is a silly rule to say that you must sit in two separate table. I agree that Covid is making people stupid.

@LadyDuck that is the problem here when a new rule is implemented. Some people seemed to have no mind to understand what the rule is all about.

It is really ridiculous when the waiter said cannot be - after I mentioned about my wife, we are a couple. Anyway, since they have no Coke so we went to the nearby food court. There we sat on a 6-seater that allowed 2 people to share. We were on both corners of the table. This distancing is making people silly.

It is exaggerated because they do not have the common sense to think why there is such a rule.

It really is ridiculous as it makes no sense to me. If two people came together and God forbid, one of them had the virus, it would have anyway spread to the other person already. What's the point in making them sit separately??

After us there came 3 people walking closely together when they entered. Then they were seated one table per person. It really makes no sense at all.

That's good for safety but if you are husband and wife they should allow. But if it's really their law,so be it.

It is just all right with me to eat alone in the table as long as they would allow my wife to pay for my bill. Waheehee.

We also went to the mall yesterday to have my son’s eye checkup. It was our first trip as a family and seeing the malls that less crowded was kind of sad but also made our short trip very smooth since there were less people moving around. We did not eat there but just bought the food home where we can eat face to face.

Well yes, this does sounds ridiculous. Yet implementing such measures is the need of the hour. This restaurant seating reminds me of similar seatings in some of the ones we used to visit earlier.

@Alexandoy here too things had been very strict with such rules. I drove a lot on Monday with my face mask on for a long time. Yet I took it off for some time in between.

There are many here who seemed to have lost their common sense. Now there is a law that driving your car with no face mask is a violation.

@Alexandoy I think so. At least now she is allowed in the mall although she is only 20. Before then, we were not able to enter a mall because of her age.

Members of the same family should be allowed to sit together. There is more risk of spreading the virus by spreading you and your wife apart than there is keeping you contained to the same table.
