Love-Hate Relationship with Coffee

As I write this I imagine my doctor glares at me when she read this hahahaha Coffee is one of my favorite drinks and I could spend more than 10% of my earnings on coffee per month. My favorite kind of coffee is the Brown sugar milk coffee (too mainstream duh). In my country, you can easily find this kind of drink pretty much in every coffee shop. Just imagining its intoxicating aroma, freshness of milk, and the sweet taste of brown sugar already excites me. You might actually drink it for the smell more than for the actual taste heheheehe Coffee has been both praised and mocked for centuries. We all know all the actual, scientifically proven pros of coffee. It could help brightens our mood, and helps fight depression. As for me, coffee can help decrease my feelings of anxiety. Not only do I live with anxiety, but I also have chronic acid reflux Neither of these things pairs well with coffee, however, there are times when I simply can't stay away. In these instances, as annoying as it sounds, moderation is the key. Sometimes my reflux is so bad that I must completely abstain from coffee for a week or a month. Let me tell you, those are my rough days. Another reason why I love coffee is because it helps me with constipation. Quoting from Webmd.com, It's true that the caffeine can stimulate the muscles in your digestive system to contract, causing a bowel movement. However, excessive caffeine can cause dehydration, so they won't recommend you to drink coffee or you can pick decaf instead. One last reason why I love coffee is because it perks me up when I’m feeling tired at work. It helps me to stay focus, and increase my productivity. Research shown that the caffeine also ramps up brain’s energy levels which equals to enhanced memory, ability to focus, problem-solving, and general cognitive function. On the other hand, drinking coffee makes me a bit too fidgety and it also makes me stay awake at night which leads to sleep deprivation.

Anything in moderation is good. But as you said, coffee is not good, if you have acid reflux. I used to drink coffee before, but, now i drink ginger tea and Turmeric milk.

@Leherkuergaris you just put cream and sugar or milk and sugar. I have the same problem as yours.
