Love Eyes

I took this photo two days before we had to have our precious Doodles the cat put to sleep. I had just pet him very gently and he let out a moan and a groan.
He used to make love eyes at me, but these eyes show pain.
I visit his little grave in our rock garden every single day and make love eyes to him and his sister. I inform them of everything they need to know that they have been missing.
It brings me peace and solace and always tears. Tomorrow will be 8 months that he’s gone from our lives.

Sorry to hear that. I missed my kitty very much too. Had been 40 odd years.

Aw that's so sad Dianne. I can't believe it's been 8 months. I miss Doodles too, and always loved seeing you write about him. I'm glad you still visit his grave and talk to him.

@DianneN I can see that it's been tough for you Dianne. You will always hold him near and dear to your heart. It is nice that he is buried in your backyard where you can visit him daily. Hang in there.

@moffittjc Thanks. All I wanted to do when we were in Florida was to visit him here. I find great comfort in it.

@sallypup I understand. I'm still waiting for time to pass. I still expect to find him here and there in the house. I sit on our chaise every night where he let out his last breath. I witnessed it with the vet and held his paw. My hubs and son ran out of the room.

You are the second person who said he looks angry. He only got angry when he saw feral cats.
It's been very difficult for me since we lost him. I mourn his lose more deeply than my husband and son, although they miss him, too.
Thank you!

@birjudanak The next photo I took right after was of him with his eyes closed. He tried to give me love eyes, but fell asleep to blot out his pain. I hopped back and forth from my computer every 10 minutes to kiss him and pet him from his head right down his back. He loved that. He stayed in that spot for days unless he needed to use his kitty box. I even let him eat there. I brought him upstairs every night to sleep at the foot of my side of the bed - his favorite, bathed him with a warm, wet, paper towel since he couldn't bathe himself anymore, and covered him with a warm blanket. He slept like that all night. Well it's over now, and I know he's not suffering anymore.

@DianneN What i am saying is at look angry but you know it very well because you are near to him may be her eyes look like it but from inside he want to come in your arm or want to tell something. Sometimes pets are become family members and attachment also like that can't be forget.

How sad. I'm so glad though that he's not in pain anymore. I couldn't handle a pet in pain. It would break my heart.

They enter our life... slowly spoil us with their unconditional love...make so many beautiful memories with us....fill our life with so much energy and joy... you forget that they don't live as long as we do....And suddenly everything comes to a standstill and they leave us with nothing but a void that can never be filled, beautiful memories and an yearning to rewind time. I'm so sorry Dianne...but I'm sure he's in a better place.

He still looked very good in that photo.
Bambi is still trying to trip me when I am outside. Anytime I walk near or over her grave she gets me. Just like she did for 11 years.

@DianneN Yes it is both of those. I fully fell over Bambi a couple of times. She was short but very stocky and muscular. It was like hitting a brick wall with my lower leg. At just the right angle I was down and she would be kissing me while smiling. She had a pits smile on her if you have ever seen those.
I know that kitty cat cross very well. A couple of the kittens are practicing it now.

@wolfgirl569 At least you are young enough not to get killed by a kitty now. It's more dangerous for the elderly to have them.

Thanks.
Funny you mentioned that about Bambi. Every time I walk close to Doodles’ spot to weed or brush off his stone, I almost lose my balance, too. It’s like all the times he’d cut across my path when we were walking together. Not for Kuma. She always ran away from me. Very eerie and wonderful at the same time.

Doodles was a very handsome guy. I am so glad they are both close by so you can visit them all the time. I believe it is very hard because you would rather have them alive than under the ground. It is very hard. I miss my dog and cat very much too and so glad I have Sophie. I cannot visit either the dog or cat.

@nawala123 I understand. I'm still gloomy. As a matter of fact, I'm going outside to visit him and his sister right now. That brings me such comfort.
