Love Bananas

I just had a banana and it did fill in the empty spot, now I can concentrate on doing something instead of thinking about food. So, I will just be here for a short while to read some posts and answer to them, after that, I will be going outside for a while (I hope) and try to get rid of some nasty weeds. How can the grass does not grow right now because of a lack of rain, but the weeds are growing by the hour? Anyone has an answer for this?

weeds even grew when it does not rain and they take over your entire yard.

Our grass is all brown and picky, but now that you mention it, I have seen some 'healthy' green looking weeds here and there.

I love bananas, too:) Yes, I do have an answer for this question, it's possibly correct. Weeds have very deep root systems, they can reach water deep down beneath the ground, your plants can't access.

Bananas are very healthy. Weeds have the ability to grow anywhere there is room. Weed seeds come in abundance and from many sources while also having the ability to lay dormant in the soil for years before germinating.

I just had some cantaloupe for lunch and hand picked weeds in the rock garden. Once gone, Preen helps. Now that I don't have kitties, I let the lawn people take care of those nasty weeds.

@marlina I had a late breakfast today. Does water count? lol I don't know what Canada has, but it prevents new weed growth here. I only use it in hard to reach places.

@marlina I thought if it is very dry the weeds will grow and the grass will hide underneath the weeds. If I am wrong then do not have an answer for you. I am glad the banana helped you. I also like bananas. I just do not see them much in the grocery store or they do not look good.

I love most fruit, and bananas, after they have gotten too ripe I bake my son's favorite, banana bread. As for the weeds, I don't know, but it isn't fair, is it?
