July 13 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Yes, it's early. I finished all the notifications and it's time to get off the computer and do something fun - watch TV. Maybe I should rephrase that since this is a lot more fun than watching TV. I need to become braindead for a little while and TV is a good source for becoming braindead.
I would work on Vendetta, but my characters aren't talking to me right now, so it's no use opening it up just to close it. Maybe the heat is getting to them too.
Anyway, what I'm thankful for today.
I'm thankful for my time in the pool. The water was awesome.
I'm thankful for the nap I got when I got home. I was up at 1:30 this morning so the hour and a half nap felt very good.
I'm thankful for the walk I got right after I got up and the exercise that followed. I have 132 exercise minutes this morning. If that doesn't help me lose the water weight, I don't know what will.
I'm thankful for the time I spent here today. Always good times.
I'm thankful my fitness goals are almost met. I have well over 15K steps for the day so far. I'm also on my third bottle of water. I'll soon be on my fourth.
I'm thankful for my oldest son. No, I haven't heard from him since he disowned me, but I'm still thankful for him. It's his birthday today. I sent him a card and I'm hoping I don't get 'return to sender' in the mail. He's 47 today.
I'm thankful for my neighbor. When she set up her phone many months ago, she needed an e-mail address as she doesn't have a computer. So, I've been getting all her bills. She quit that company so I shouldn't be getting any more e-mails for her. Anyway, she just handed me money for the paper I printed out her bills on every month. Totally unexpected. I'm putting it on my trip on Friday. I would have declined, but it would have gotten me nowhere, and there's the language barrier. So, I graciously accepted as she pushed it into my hand.
Okay, that's my day in a nutshell. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. Time for my next hourly steps. The image belongs to me.

I never write that I was thankful because Oscar was dismissed from the hospital. But there are things for which there are no words. He called me yesterday and I told him that I had asked many people around the world to pray for him.
There are always little things to be thankful for, but this is a big one.

The youtube model for earning seems very flawed to me.

We all need to realize that everyday there are things we are grateful for. I know many who don't think they have much to be grateful for, but when you sit down and mentally start listing them out, there are many.
I am always grateful to wake up and take a breath! Grateful for the morning hug from Little Miss. Today it will rain and I am grateful for that. The months of dry weather left the wells a little shy of water so now they are getting replenished. I am grateful to be able to visit my mom even though we need to keep our distance and wear a mask. She doesn't know who we are, but we know who she is.

@just4him We had a little sunshine this morning, but the clouds are now covering the sky. I would love to go outside with Little Miss, but we will wait until the rain ends. Or, if it is warm enough and there isn't any thunder and lightening, I may send her outside to play in the rain. I did this with my children when they were little as did my mother. They love it.

@ElusiveButterfly Yes, they do. I always played in the rain as a kid.
We're getting rain today too.

You're so right. Many people only think of the hardships and negatives in their lives and don't stop long enough to realize all the great things they have every day.
I bet that hug from Little Miss is awesome. I'm glad the rain will replenish the wells. It's good you can visit your mom.

I am thankful that I sent my tax form to report to Inbox Dollars that I reached the $300 dollar mark on Saturday via fax. I should be able to place a request for a paycheck this Saturday.

@just4him Game shows with questions are always fun! Sounds like a good time, especially when we know the answers :)

@MommyOfEli2013 I'm not into game shows, but I thought why not. At least I know the Bible.
