Where I'm from it's winter at this time of the year. Our winter isn't as cold, our coldest day this year was -2 Degrees Celsius which is about 30,2 Degrees Fahrenheit... However due to a little problem on my side of the world called loadshedding. Basically what loadshedding is when your main electricity/power that you use to function your home gets scheduled to be switched off/cut for 4 or more hours. Imagine this, everyday for 2 whole months in winter at any time of the day based on their schedule your main source of electricity/power gets cut which has nothing to do with your bills.

It really sounds terrible! It would wonderful if someone could upgrade the system.

I hope you have a fireplace as another source of heat. Oil lamps work well for light.
I'm sorry you go through that every day.

It's winter in Australia too but luckily they don't turn the power off on us. We do have a wood fire in the lounge so we can always get warm.

is it because of the temperature or? can't people there ask for it to happen on the same time every day, maybe like 2am-6am, when people usually sleep?
