Good morning everyone. It's been a while since I posted on mylot. I was wanting to get caught up which I have to some extent. I've missed writing as I always seem to have something to say
Over the weekend, I was going to have some pictures made at Walgreens. Well, their program pulled pictures from everywhere and up popped pictures of Bella that I forgot about. They were in google pictures. It caught me by surprise and I started crying my heart out. This is the first time I have looked at pictures of Bella since she passed away.
Some of her pictures are above. I still want to cry looking at her pictures, but its getting better. It will be 6 months at the end of this month since she passed. I had pictures made of her and Daisy. We now have pictures of them in the living room and I have a picture of Bella on my desk.

@moffittjc Yes, this is true. It just doesn't seem like it's been 6 months already. One thing that is hard for me to get past is wondering if I did something to cause her to have heart failure. Did I drop a pill and did she get a hold of it? Most of the time, I can push it out of my mind. Every once in a while, like now, it comes back.

@simone10 Things will get better with time. You'll always carry her memories in your heart, and now you'll also have photos to look at.

@DianneN I think so too, if we ever really do. I don't know if I will ever not want to tear up when I think of her or see her picture. Also, I can't help but wonder if it was something that I did or didn't do that caused her to have heart failure. I take a lot of pills and I wonder, did I drop one, and she found it? I try not to think about it but everyone once in a while, that thought creeps back in.

@DocAndersen Yes, she was very good at that. She was very territorial and that's one of the reasons she barked so much. Now Daisy is a different story. She runs and hides

@Juliaacv I know how you feel. I keep thinking about getting another dog for Daisy but I keep talking myself out of it because I feel like it wouldn't be fair to Bella's memory. Plus I'm 64 and my brother has health issues so if we were both gone, who would I leave another dog to?

It's sad to lose a pet and Bella certainly was precious to you. I'm happy you shared her pictures and she's so adorable. She brought so much joy into your life that I hope these pictures make you smile as well as those few tears

It has been very sad to lose Bella. I know this may sound silly saying this about a dog, but she was my best friend. I miss her every day. The pictures do make me smile as I remember when they were taken. I have a video of her barking which she was famous for...lol. It's a little harder to see the video but I still smile through my tears.

I found this :
I hope it helps you.
How do you cope with the loss of a pet? Some people assume pet grief hurts less than human grief, but they couldn’t be more mistaken. There’s a poem I wanted to share that can help you mourn the loss of a pet. It's called The Rainbow Bridge Poem...

It's so hard to lose our pet friends. I opted to get less memories on Facebook because pictures of the sweet cockatiel I lost kept popping up. I didn't want to look at pictures of her yet. Same thing starts happening with people, too. I'm so sorry for your loss.
