Have you tried toasting bread on a pan?

I put my oven toaster in the cabinet out of my reach. Well, that's because the built-in cabinets here can only be reached by my hubby who is tall. I put it there because I seldom toast bread and to save some space as well. But anyway, yesterday, I wanted to eat toasted bread with butter and so out of laziness to stand on the stool to get the oven, I just used the pan in toasting it. The result is the same I love my pan! Have you done this too?

@Janet357 In France their famous "croque monsieur" that is a hot sandwich filled with ham and cheese is always made in a pan.

we do that often and we also make "prženice" - it's bread dipped in eggs and then you put it in a pan, it's really good, specially with salad
