The Lakers can find a better team player and a scorer to replace Kobe thru a trade with other team.

what are you talking about a better team player. don't you watch the games he plays. Hes barely averaging over 20 ppg. his apg and rpg have gone up this year. If Odom doesn't get injured they have a chance to stay on top of the Pacific division. Even last year he wasn't a ball hog. No one else had the confidence to shoot on a consistent basis. I think that this core team has a great chance to win a ring in the next couple years.

Last time I checked 4.9 APG wasn't that many, especially considering the team doesn't have a true PG? Smush Parker? Jordan Farmar, I mean come on. That team has a medicore nucleus even with Odom playing every night. Luke Walton is your 3rd scorer? They're the beneficiaries of a home-based schedule to start the season. They have a losing record on the road. The Suns are a significantly better team with SIX guys averaging over 10 a game. Amare Stoudamire is their 3rd scorer.

I don't think the Lakers could trade Kobe. He's their premiere player and where all their money is invested. He's a great player no doubt. That said, he's a selfish player and a "different" mix of guys could prove successful. Look at the Jazz. Name a superstar on that team. Carlos Boozer and AK-47 aren't stars. Those guys work well in Sloan's system.
People need to realize that basketball games can't merely be on by the BEST player otherwise Kobe and the lakers or Lebron and the Cavs would have a title every year. It's about much more than that. The best 5 guys in the league would probably get beat by the NBA champions because of the team chemistry involved. Why do you think team USA has been unsuccessful of late?
If I were the Lakers would I trade Kobe? Certainly not. Do I think the Lakers can win an NBA title with the team they have? Certainly not.

Trading Kobe will be one of the the biggest blunder in Lakers history.

You must be smoking that stuff. There is no way any player in the league can replace Kobe Bean Bryant. Sorry, he changed his name to Mr. 81 may i might add.

i think Kobe has improved his game, he has steadily increased his assists per game and is less of a ball hog. well he is still a ball hog when he's hot.

You think that the Lakers could find a better 2 guard than Kobe. In who do you think would be a fair trade for someone who can average a double double a night scoreing about 30+. Even with a trade if you got two or three players in return for him they still would not be able to fill the shoes that he would leave behind. Now if you say that they need a new center I am behind you all the way
