Babysitting my grandbaby for first time

His other grandma normally has him Mondays and Fridays but had chest pains yesterday so went in for tests this morning. She will either pick him up once she's done or my daughter will have to take off the afternoon from work since I also work today.
This is the newer type of swings used these days. He sleeps in this a lot I think as he's a fussy one which tends to be fairly normal for a first child. ( Although, last night for the first time ever he slept eight hours straight). If he was in his crib he'd be in a room shared by his older step sister and she'd wake up when he fusses during the night. Maybe by the time the next child comes they'll have a house with three bedrooms so the baby can learn to cry himself to sleep.
I'm at my daughter's house since the other granny doesn't know where I live if she's able to pick him up plus it gave my daughter more time this morning.

@LadyDuck he is sweet most times and I'd starting to gurgle if that's the correct term.

He's not sleeping in that room yet. He sleeps mostly in the swing in his parents room.

@MarshaMusselman I have 6 grandchildren and would have loved to have had more. Yes, they could definitely use a bigger home.

I didn't have my girls till I was in my mid to late thirties. At least they are getting an earlier start by a little anyway. Well have to wait and see how many they end up having.
This little family needs a bigger house before another comes their way since there's only two bedrooms.

@thelme55 when she told me he slept in his seeing I thought that was awful but this one is made for that. It's almost like a bassinet that moved in it's own.

It's not a crib but a different type of baby swing than we had for our kids. There's no way he can fall out of this one at least until he gets older and then he won't need it anymore.

So does the other grandmother babysit him all the time or do you take turns? I hope she is ok. Thank you for explaining about the swing. i saw the picture and wondered what it was.

I made a picture/video which I uploaded to YouTube but have to remember how to upload it here if I find the link.
I don't babysit him since I work two jobs. She had him Mon and Friday and a friend's husband watches him the other days.

I understand why the other grandmother could not babysit him. What happened to the friend's husband? Was he not available so you were did it?

I have some more pics I got while he was laying on my lap. Well I guess those too are in the swing.

@Janet357 I was going to remind you he's a he but you got that in the first response. He's too big to be like a doll baby. He was 9.5 at birth and at the and a half month is at about sixteen pounds. But he's still adorable.

Her heart was hurting from stressful situations but not from her heart being stressed which is good. She picked him up before lunch.

He's so cute and that swing is awesome. I wish we had things like that when my children were babies.
Enjoy your cutie pie today

The swing was a surprise to me too.. It's sort of like a glorified bassinet/ seeing combo although they just call it a swing.

He will still be beautiful until he gets older and becomes handsome that is and whos to say how fast that happens? He may become a toddler earlier than some as he seems to be ready to move more. In fact I did hear that he's starting to (crawl ) actually he's rolling from one side to another but not in both directions so you still have two ways to go before he crawls, at 3.5 months, but I have to check with my daughter. I heard it from one of the babysitters ex's that was my walking buddy.

I am, except I'm glad I spent a lot of time there weekly before she started working again because it's going to be harder to fit in Ollie time now that others are babysitting him in their own homes.

It does look like he's in a deep sleep but this baby comes to not sleep that deeply. I'm sure he does some otherwise he would not be healthy but he wakes up easily and it's like he doesn't want to miss anything going on around him so it's very difficult to get him to sleep unless he's in that swing thing that's helped it's what I heard and it seems to be true. thank you for stopping by.

I had a small job to finish but sent my crew without me. My daughter doesn't get a lot of time off and was almost frantic trying to find a replacement while trying to work too.
