To homeschool or not to homeschool...

I have been researching lately on homeschooling because I think its a good opportunity for me and my children. But of course their are pros and cons to it that I am still deciding on.
I honestly think homeschool is not for everybody. Not all are wired to be teachers to their children academically and that is okay you know.
I am just torn if I will have my other children do online learning and some homeschooled.
Anyone can give me some thoughts of homeschool? Is it really a handful to homeschool my children?

I think kids learn better in schools with other kids. It helps them in their overall growth

It is true that kids needs interaction with other kids. But with the new norm we have now and kids are not allowed to go out primarily because we are avoiding to having them get sick. Online learning is not really for everybody and younger children may have a hard time learning thru that.

That is a very big factor of why I am opting to homeschool my children. Hoping I can pull it off and be good at it,

In this corona virus time lots of children do home schooling. All children have the right to learn. Not all people have the knowledge of a teacher. I used to live in Kent and knew a lady that home schooled her two daughters. They used to visit France a lot. They used to go swimming and take part in cookery. They ended up going to secondary school which was a shock for them at first. The main thing is social mixing with other people. It seems Isolating at home you see for children that need to mix with other children. In 2000 I visited The School on the Air. It taught children that live in rural areas that are in the outback. There was a lesson about saving water so it was for Science.

I guess its all up to me then if I can actually set aside time for me to teach my children. I feel that its my best option since I worry they wont be able to cope with the online classes.

That’s another good option, and it allows them to be in a more relaxed environment and it reduces bullying

@sublime03 When the schools were close here, children had online courses.

Well the government isn’t giving us the option to bring our children to school right now and so two options are the only available ones for us.

Homeschooling definitely has a lot of benefits. One of the main ones is that you take your children out of what can easily be a very toxic environment, with all the intense stress that kids these days are put under

@sublime03 Remember, as long as kids are motivated, they can often direct themselves in their teaching, such as by watching educational YouTube videos

I think you should test it first. Try homeschooling your children for a few days to see if you able to manage it or not. It's not for everyone yup.

The thing is I know I can do it. My issue is can i sustain it for the next how many months or for this school year. Since I have other family members to attend to I dont know if I can actually be consistent for it.
