The US Supreme Court Is Not Protecting Religious Liberty!

The Supreme Court is not doing its job and protecting our religious freedom! In the United States, it seems that every group has their rights except Seventh-day Adventists. Frequently, Adventists do not even get their day in court. In the famous case of Patterson vs. Walgreens, Mr. Patterson was allowed to take Saturday, his Sabbath, off from work. He was terminated for actually taking a Saturday off. He filed a lawsuit in court and his case was dismissed on summary judgment. He appealed and again his case was dismissed on summary judgment. He filed with the Supreme Court, and the court refused to hear the case. At the same time, the Supreme Court bends over backwards to support and recognize the rights of other groups. Recently, the Supreme Court granted full employment rights to LGBTQ employees under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This group was not even mentioned in this legislation. The Supreme Court is the final guardian of our religious freedom, and we hope and pray that they will recognize the right of Seventh-day Adventists to be off from work on their Sabbath.
