A Hoax?? Something to Ponder

What was investigated? Russian interference in the US elections.
US president insists on calling it “the Russia hoax”.
QUESTION: What “part” is a hoax?
The part about the Russians interfering with the elections OR the part about the Trump campaign managers colluding with the Russians?
Part 1 was proven. Part 2 was proven.
Part 1: The Russians interfered. That's not a hoax!
Part 2: Trump campaign managers did not collude. That wasn't a hoax either!
I'm sort of fuzzy on the “hoax” thing. Let's explore.
* * *
Media reports say:
Russia tried to hack into US, UK and Canada's COVID-19 vaccine research, national intelligence agency says
~ Of course, Russia denies it.
I guess it's a hoax.
Media reports say:
Russians tried to influence UK election, says Raab | The Independent
~ Of course, Russia says 'Oh poo poo! Why would we be interested in UK election outcomes?'
I guess it's a hoax.
Media reports say:
A former Russian spy was poisoned in Britain one year ago. The report is dated Mar 2019. So it's now 2 years ago. The Brits say the Russians did it.
~ Of course, Russia denies it. Why would they be interested?
I guess it's a hoax.
Although? It sort of looks like a pattern. A pattern of hoaxes?
Uhh … nah! I don't think so.
Media reports say:
July 1, 2020: Referendum In Russia Passes, Allowing Putin To Remain President Until 2036 : NPR
No need to guess. That's neither a hoax or a pattern. That's a plan. A major plan.
But the plan makes me think the “hoaxes” are a pattern which reflect bits and pieces of a major plan.
QUESTION:
If it were a matter of national security which is better:
* Prove a hoax OR
* Ignore a pattern that looks like a plan.

See what happens when the first thing you listen to when you wake up in the morning is a news report.
Hope you started your day on a better note.
Happy Sunday!

@cmoneyspinner I think it has got more to do with the modern breed of politicians - lacking any skill except for self enrichment

@Ronrybs - Self-enrichment for sure; and the “riches” is not necessarily cash money in the bank. The “enrichment” can come in other “forms”. I think the point you're making is that they are “self-serving”. Correct me if I'm wrong.

US politics sucks. I tend to believe all of those things. Have a great week.

I believe if something happened there is always a way to prove it. If something happened there is always evidence that it happened. It's just that people don't always set out to find the proof and then reveal it when they find it. But the bottom line is: There are some folks you should not ignore or turn your back on. Putin is one of them.

It’s so hard now a days to know what is real and what is fake considering the government is behind everything and obviously they don’t let just anyone in on what is going on in the big house
It can be hard to get to the bottom of a hoax but also hard to ignore what is going on in this world we are forced to live in
