Yes it is sad but I think that Greg has made the best decision not only for himself but for the Wiggles. At least his replacement has been a backup for many years, and is at least known a little to the young ones.
Good luck in retirement Greg, and hopefully once some of the pressure is off you might have a bit better life.

It is ver sad. My 10 month old daughter LOVES the wiggles, but she's too little to know who they are so I'm sure that she won't even remember Greg. I wonder how they will explain this on the show, or if they even will. I read somewhere that Greg had started doing additional singing grown up songs as well. I also read that 3 of them are married with kids. That is so sad for their family. I am trying to think of what the guy you mentioned looks like.

I can't stand the wiggles. They are very annoying. I don't understand how kids love them, barney and the others. They drive me nuts.

I just thank goodness that my daughter didn't like them. She loved Blues Clues ( it was a little annoying) but I could take that better than the others.
I just can't handle all the singing ones. I get songs stuck in my head and I think it would be crazy for a grown man to go around singing those songs. LOL

My daughter and nephews will be very heartbroken when they don't see their favorite singer. I guess it will be awkward at first, but eventually they will start to like them. Thanks for giving us heads up. Now, I can take some time to explain to my little ones why Greg is not there anymore.

my kids loved the Wiggles.. I don;t think it is a heart condition
SYDNEY, Australia -- The lead singer of the hugely popular children's group The Wiggles announced Thursday he will stop performing after being diagnosed with a chronic condition that causes dizziness, fatigue and nausea.
In a video-recorded statement, Greg Page said a little-understood disorder called orthostatic intolerance had left him debilitated.
"It's not a life-threatening condition by any means, but it is one that's going to be with me for the rest of my life," said Page, 34, who is known for bright yellow T-shirt. "It means that I'll no longer be able to sing and dance as I want to, and as a result I've decided to stop performing with The Wiggles."
Page, who helped found The Wiggles in 1991, handed his yellow T-shirt over to his understudy, Sam Moran, who has been performing with the group for more than a decade as a backup singer and dancer.
"I'll miss being a part of The Wiggles very much, but this is the right decision because it will allow me to focus on managing my health," Page said.
Page has been battling health troubles since undergoing a double hernia operation last December. He withdrew from the group's U.S. tour in June after suffering repeated fainting spells and bouts of lethargy.
His fellow band members said they were sad and disappointed by the news at a media conference in the western city of Perth, where they were set to launch an Australian tour.
"It's very surreal that Greg's not going to be with us, very sad," said Blue Wiggle Anthony Field. "I know Greg loved doing the shows, it's just that he can't physically do it anymore."
However, Red Wiggle Murray Cook said he didn't think too many kids would notice the change.
"Children tend to center on one thing so if he's wearing the yellow skivvy (shirt), he's got black hair _ he's pretty much Greg," he said.
Field, Page and Cook met while studying early childhood education at Sydney's Macquarie University.
They enlisted their fourth member, Purple Wiggle Jeff Fatt, and The Wiggles were born.
The group was rated by weekly business magazine, BRW, as Australia's top-earning entertainer last year, ahead of actors Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe. The four men in brightly colored T-shirts, accompanied by a cast of characters including Dorothy the Dinosaur and Wags the Dog, grossed $39 million last year.
The group has franchised its enormously popular recipe to several non-English speaking countries, including Taiwan.

http://www.cfids.org/about-cfids/orthostatic-intolerance.asp This site explains what
orthostatic-intolerance is. It can be a heart related disorder caoused by the blood not pumping properly and causing blood to pool. I only know this as i have suffered from this but nowmy heart has make another pathway (through it pooling)and now my blood pumps into the heart through the new pathway and back into my heart not through my body . I am on medication but am gettin to the stage where i need an operation. I suffer pulpitations dizziness, feel like i am going to faint and other symptons.I know and understand what gre is going through

It really is so sad, and i honestly think with Greg leaving the wiggles should disband, it will never ever be the same again! Although i know Sam will do an excellent job replacing him he still isnt Greg! My son watched gregs video announcing it and he started to cry and said he will miss greg!

The kids will really miss him but i don't think they should diband as the the kids that are too young now to know the Wiggles won't know the difference when they start watching them. I would hate to think of all the kids that would miss such good childrens entertainment
