Would You Like To Join Me For a Cup of Coffee?

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's another very hot day here in my little corner of the myLot world. Hopefully this heat wave will only last a few days and then we'll get some relief. But, it's summer so all this heat is expected.
I'm really in a fog this morning.
My daughter went to work so there was no coffee waiting for me when I came downstairs 
Generally which ever one of us gets up first makes the coffee. No, I don't purposely stay in bed until I smell the coffee but it's nice to have the coffee ready when I get up.
Since she went to work today I had to make the coffee. I'm so used to making a full pot for both of us that that's what I did this morning. I scooped the coffee into the filter and pressed the button for a full pot.
Once it started brewing I realized my mistake and either I have to drink this whole pot of coffee myself today or...

It really would be nice if it was that easy. So many friends here I would love to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with.
Well, since we can't gather in person how about we have a virtual cup together?

@paigea usually I can drink coffee in the afternoon and still sleep pretty well but a double espresso would have certainly kept me awake.

I'm going to see if there is leftovers from yesterday first and if not then make some. Anna purrs her leftovers into a pitcher to store in the fridge for future use like if t you want a cold cup in hot days.
Your temps normally follow ours but ours have been mild the last couple of days. I don't remember Sunday and Monday though. Maybe it will cool for you soon. It's supposed to rain here this morning.

Putting the leftover coffee in the fridge is a good idea. I do like iced coffee.
Today is another hot and humid day and we're supposed to get thunderstorms later this afternoon. ugh

@Marilynda1225 we were expecting rain this morning but it never showed up. I saw the radar with rain overhead that never rained but this evening when rain wasn't in the forecast it did rain here and there.
We're getting more got temps for the weekend and then cool again next week maybe

I did have a nice virtual coffee group but you're welcome to stop by and share a cup anytime Maria. I've been enjoying iced tea in the afternoons since it's refreshing. My coffee worked it's magic so I'm ready for the day

It seems so weird to me that you're having such different temperatures there and actually we aren't that far away from each other. I'm glad you aren't getting this putrid heat and can enjoy being outside.
Since I'm so late getting back to my notifications I have a fresh pot this morning to share too.

I am having my coffee now. I don't purposely stay in bed until I smell coffee either, but that is usually how it works out.
Hubby makes coffee and brings it to me. He then watched sports on the living room TV while I lounge in bed
Today he is hard at work replacing boards on the deck. I feel I need to get up and be productive too. Sigh

I don't get coffee in bed but it's nice to have it all ready when I come downstairs.

It's doubtful that Gizmo would sleep through our being together and he can sleep through a bomb. We certainly would have fun.
