Don't You Hate it when People Get the Wrong Message from Scripture

Every year I go to 'camp' for Traumatic Brain-Injury survivors (well, it's more like a ... club-reunion? I mean; they call it "Camp," but there's not much 'camping' going on). http://www.mountainhighcamp.com/ For 'the reason everyone knows,' we're not going to be able to meet this year. So--instead of 'the pictures-or-souvenirs we'd normally get from camp--they sent out 'mounted sections of canvas' with a Scripture-passage & a little note on it. I'm worried that people take the wrong message from it, especially because it's from one of the 'Everything's Alright'-sections (the ones that people's minds separate from all the struggle & hardship that believers have to go through). The message people SHOULD take from the passage is 'It's okay to pause & rest for now, saving my strength for the time when you need me.' It might also be a good message for 'a debilitating injury' or 'a funeral,' when we all "sleep" in death or disability ... rising at Our Heavenly Father's command. The Scripture is Psalm 4:8 "In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, o Lord, make me dwell in safety."

I understand and agree; but no, because God's word is private unless he tells you to share that specific message.

@mythociate i think sharing the word is not when they will ask.Its about how we share in the right time

@rhuenz That, or we use it to help us make decisions.

It's a very positive message! Since we have faith in God, we know that we can have peace when we are awake and we are asleep.

Very positive ... a little too positive; because no, you can't. I mean yes, you can trust that you'll find peace; but 'having peace' when your situation demands your caring attention ... it's why a lot of liberals (and intellectual politics-commenters) are so upset about President Donald Trump playing golf or playing politics while the nation is worried about COVID-19 or America's systemic racism.
