Macaque is generally terrestrial animals but they can still climb trees well. Macaque live in large groups that will split into small groups during the day to find food. Macaque is an omnivorous animal whose main food is fruits, seeds, mushrooms, and invertebrates.
With "special education", the macaque can pick coconuts quickly, lowering coconuts from trees according to the demands of their masters, both old and young. In West Sumatara, Indonesia, people use this moneky to pick or harvet coconut.
In indonesia, macaque is called "beruk"
