That is what I was Googling this morning. Now that I am thoroughly spattered, my conclusion is, Pay Someone Else! I can cover everything but I need my glasses uncovered. At least the ceiling looks good.

Yeah, sometimes it's just easier to hire someone else to do the dirty work.

We have not painted ourselves in years, we hire it out, and our glasses never get speckled.

Very smart. I don't think we could get someone out here to paint one small bathroom. I should wait until the whole house needs painting!

I agree, pay someone else. Paint can get all over everything. I hope it wasn't too hard getting the paint off our glasses.

@paigea I used to love to paint. This was when I was younger and could get up and down on a ladder easily.

@simone10 what I don't like about it is I do not get a professional looking job on the edges. If I could master that, I wouldn't dislike painting.

I'm glad the ceiling looks good. I agree. Best to hire someone to paint it if you don't want to get covered too.

@mynameiskate I have some mistakes along the edge of the spare room. Hubby put a border around the edge of the other spare room. I do hope to get a nice edge at the top of the walls in the bathrooms. Hard with that textured ceiling.

Today, I am going to repeat the whole performance in the other bathroom.

@paigea I like freshly painted rooms. Getting the paint off where you don't want it is a bit of a pain though. Are you particular or will you accept a few mistakes. An old place is more forgiving?

Just the ceiling is done. Now the walls. Won't spatter me at least. Just dreading trying to get a nice edge at the ceiling.

When I DIY I usually create more of a mess than there originally was in the first place. Probably not worth the price for saving a few bucks
