14 day quarantined in Paradise

Three weeks ago I returned home from a week-long trip from the US mainland only to be required to stay indoors for 14 days, which honestly was junk because I had to do nothing but looked out at how beautiful the days were, and wishing I could go out and enjoy the beach. Lucky for me I live on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and although I had to be quarantined for 14 days, I now can go out and do my normal activities on the pineapple island. What I'm trying to say is that it is unfortunate for tourists and visitors who have to spend money paying for their plane tickets, hotel rooms, food, and other expenses to come to a so called Paradise only to be quarantined for 14 days in their hotel rooms. I understand the concerns all island leaders have in reference to the Covid 19, and how devastated it would be if it gets out of control. Hawaiian islands are small comparing to all other states of the US mainland, so imagine how it would it be if this virus spreads out of control! My son, his wife, and our first grandson are currently living in the state of Utah, and were planning of coming for a visit to Hawaii, but had to reconsider due to the fact that they would have to spend 14 days indoor, and plus not many tourist-attraction places are open at this time. Therefore, I would advise all my friends and family members who are planning to visit Hawaii in the next few weeks or months to really think about the decision they make because I don't want them to be disappointed when they arrived here at each island airport only to be asked to be quarantined for 14 days, unless you are planning to stay here for more than a month. Hawaiian islands are all great places to visit and enjoy real paradise life, but not at the moment because of the quarantine laws they have. If a person plans to stay here for more than 14 days, then it would worth they money they spend, but otherwise they should make other arrangements to visit when this pandemic time is over. Stay healthy, stay happy, and stay positive. Take care until next post....Aloha from Paradise :)

I am glad you followed the quarantine protocol.many people consider it as foolish and try ways to step out even when they are advised to remain inside

Thank you Kokil. It's crazy how many new cases that are coming up each week here on the islands. I didn't like it but I have to take precautions from this dangerous virus. Take care :)

@amitkokiladitya I totally agree with you although some people have their own reasons for not following the quarantined regulation/law which can have bad impact for some people.
