Some People Change

I have seen that people can change both for better and worse. My concern is those who really aren’t reformed who have spent only a small portion of time in jail. Just a few weeks ago, in a neighboring town an inmate was released the day after being thrown in jail for armed robbery, he was released the following day, and went on to commit another armed robbery.
There is a song by Montgomery Gentry called Some People Change, and I have seen this true on both extremes.
And yes I do believe some people change, but I know too that change takes time.
Before you get the idea that I believe all people in prison are bad or evil, I know that is not the case, one of my cousins has spent his life in and out of prison, but he would stand up for me in a minute flat if there was anyone trying to hurt me, or any member of our family.
I take things like This personally in 1997, a lifelong family friend and his twelve year old son were murdered, last August Dio was murdered, but they not only shot her, they then caught her on fire.
The last post picture was one of the few photos I have of Dio on my devices, I had seen her just a couple of weeks before she was killed.

@piyushbhatia1 I’m talking about murders, and rapists here, it’s been almost a year since we lost a loved one to a violent murderer, and though I believe people can change, I also believe it takes time.

@Michellekidwell I have left everything on my God and time. If he realise that is for his own good otherwise I am happy to remove him from my life

@amitkokiladitya That’s the best thing you can do, God is in control.

If that is the case, maybe it’s time to let go. I did that a few times and it was freeing..l

I'm sorry for your losses. Many in jail don't get the opportunity for rehabilitation.

@Michellekidwell Those people should never be released early or at all.

Sadly that is the case, by the ones I have an issue with being set free are the ones who keep killing, or raping, it’s madness...
