I miss seeing kids playing hopscotch, hide and seek, stilt, marble, rope and other traditional game. I think most traditional games is good for learning how to cooperate and take physical activity. But current kids think those are less interesting than gadget in their hand.

You’re right! Too many children aren’t outdoors enough doing fun things.

Kids don't play together like they used to, do they? It's a shame as I'm sure they would have learnt a lot of social skills from this.

I remember playing hopscotch when I was a child back in the 1970s. My friends and I had such fun playing hopscotch during recess and in my yard. Other traditional games we played were kickball, dodge ball and ring around the rosy.

That is one of the main downfalls of technology. I think one of the reasons we played outside all the time was because whe didn't have all this stuff. My son and I were talking about this the other day, he said he remembered when he stopped going outside and playing all the time was when he got his first video game and started playing video games all day. That was back in the 80's, so it's not just the current kids. I would say the main problem with kids now is they can't live without their cell phone and can't put it down long enough to even play games like that.
