Confirmed Covid near me

Kinda hard to believe but it did happen. A meeting of school and church staffs had been turned into nightmare when one of the staff suddenly collapsed with Covid symptoms. Both the church and the school is less than a kilometer away from my home. They should follow the government's guidelines and not gather in-person, but alas more than a dozen people attended that meeting from what I've heard. Everyone who attended the meeting immediately gotten tested with rapid test procedure, which is faster but less accurate than the slower swab test. Some of them already confirmed positive from the rapid test result, including one pastor. Now we're waiting for the swab test result to come in.

That's alarming! But, you know what? When pandemic first started, Hawaii residents were on cruise ship docked at Japan where over 100 people had covid19. The elderly couple quarantined just about a month, ...but did not catch covid19. So don't give up hope. Rev up your immune system and exercise to stay healthier so you won't succumb to covid19.

@JohnKu It's a big worry. But, if you wear masks, distance yourself and trv up immune system it should be alright. Extra orang juice and vitamin e too.

Thank you for your suggestion. People in my city are all alarmed and have been taking health precautions since then.

Wow I guess it is a lesson to learn that this virus is still on the loose and is still making havoc in every place that is crowded with people. I am impressed that your government is quick to act when an incident like this happens and they immediately taken measures to identify who might still be unknowingly be infected with the virus.

@JohnKu True in my place, it is quite slow to react when something like that happens. no testing is done unless the incidents increase rapidly in a certain locations but if there are only one or two cases the community is not quick to respond.

Yup, but then all governments in the world should do the same. This virus is a serious threat after all.

@rsa101 Same things happen in my country, people are getting tested only after they show symptoms so it's already too late to prevent the disease from spreading.

Hope you stay dafe buddy, it seems to be spreading everywhere. I am not sure how it is, being so warm and the virus only lives up to 77 degrees other than people not social distancing and not wearing masks.

One problem is that even people with no symptom can still spread the disease.

It is a great shame that people won't obey the guidelines. The virus will never be stopped if people keep gathering like this.
