Connect to Others - Can you see me?

Everything nowadays is easy in a way because of technology. Now a person can sit in his or her house and order just about anything from food to whatever through their devices like their ipad, laptops, smart phones, and other technical devices. These devices make life easier for most people. These days it’s easier to connect with others faster in a way such that you can see your friends and families who live miles away on your touch screens. These weren’t possible 10 or 20 years ago, but now are faster and convenient ways to see friends and families face-to-face. Because of technology, I am able to reconnect with family members who I haven’t seen physically for many years through facebook messenger, zoom, google connect, and other websites, which I’m grateful for. These were the technologies I’ve seen in James Bond, Star Trek, and other movies when I was younger. Welcome to the Tech-World...Beam me up Scottie lol!!

@nawala123 True and that is a downfall in my opinion to some people because they are so into their devices and totally disconnect from those who are sitting around them. That is why I thing is one way people are separated from others - they occupy their time on the computers, phones, laptops, and other devices when they could have disconnect for a while and talk to those who are sitting right there by them. I witnessed that for some time during my visit to my family in the mainland US....everyone were in the same room, yet they were all occupied with their electronic devices that no one was paying attention to each other in the same room. However, I still think that technology is helpful today… just a person needs to balance their time out.

Yes you're correct and that's the good part about technology. I may live in another country but can talk and interact with others in different countries.

That's exactly my point! We have to be cautious when using technology in the 21st century, and I'm sure everyone is aware of various pros and cons of technology, but is up a person to make that choice him or herself!
