Buying a smartphone is not very cheap and it's a very useful thing so won't be easy to switch from one phone to another and that's why it's better if we can research before buying a smartphone and after it take every precaution to make it work for longer.
By using a phone case and Screen protection so even if we drop the phone it's screen doesn't shatter and don't work on phone while it's charging and disable the mobile data or wifi when mobile is on charging mode.

Good points there! Also, I've noticed that cleaning up the space from time to time keeps it from behaving cranky.

I bought a new iPhone in Florida along with the case, screen protector, and took insurance out on it. It would be too costly to replace it if I ruined it somehow. To be honest, in all my years of having a phone, I never once broke it. Not so with my iPads.

I never do specific things to make my phone long last, well but maybe phone manufacturer these days make them not too long last because they will keep make a newer and newer and newer phone, so it is one of their strategic too. Remember when Nokia phone is so hard and tough? Well I guess we not gonna have it like them these days
