Yes I have - and i love it!!!!
I have been to Andorra and Austria (Kitzbuhel and Hintertux) several times. I really like skiing because of the beautiful scenery, snow covered mountains and the adrenalin rush you get when you whizz down a really fast slope. You get to meet friendly likeminded people. Its best to join a ski school if you are a beginner - you will soon be confident enough to tackle the easy runs.
Apres ski is great too... plenty of booze to help you forget about your aching muscles.

Hey thanks for responding. I have gone skiing plenty, but it sounds like you are a real pro. I liked in Thunder bay for a lot of years so was able to go skiing at Candy mountain regularly. Now I like in toronto so don't get skiing very often as I have to travel quit a distance to go. Have you gotten out yet this year. It was quit a wait this year but I finally got out last weekend. We didn't have enough snow before that.

Hi, I went to Soldeu in Andorra (squashed between France and Spain) the week before christmas. There wasnt much snow - about 15 - 20 cm (same story across most of Europe), It was just the beginners areas and a few easy blues.
but, hey, i was skiing so i cannot complain!
I have my heart set on going to Whistler Canada in December 2007 - Its a very long flight (9.5hrs) and a lot of money, but i think it will be worth it.
I have had seven weeks on snow - so i am not too bad but im not an expert either:-)!

Yes, I like it. I live in Italy and we have a lot of places where we can ski on the alps and not only. Cortina, Dolomiti, Madonna di Campiglio, Cervinia are the best ones. But it 2 years that I do not go to ski, in particular because my wife is not skiing
