After getting an email that confirmed our flight to Seoul, South Korea in October, we received another email a day after that the flight was cancelled. That is good because we didn't have the intention to go anyway. Now we can get a full refund of the $400 that we paid last November.

Well, at least you are able to get a refund. There will always be other times later after the pandemic that you can visit Seoul.

Even if the flight is free we have no intention to go abroad. There are so many requirements like the testing before leaving and the 14-day quarantine upon coming home.

@moffittjc my wife and I agreed to stay home until the virus remains. It is not a good idea to ride a plane with the risk of the infection. Besides, what would we see abroad, masked faces?

@LadyDuck yes, the airline is the largest here so they have an image to protect.

The plane ticket we bought last November was on a discount so it was only $400 for the 2 round trip tickets. We had been to Seoul in 2017 and we enjoyed the colorful autumn.

One of my dream country to visit is South Korea. Maybe because of my love for Korean Dramas. From what I see from their Korean Dramas, South Korea is a very clean and rich country. Truly, they are advanced when it comes to technology. I hope one day, I get to visit South Korea

I find Seoul similar to Tokyo which is clean and the people are friendly. We went to Nami Island that was used as location for a popular Korean drama. It was wonderful to see the place.

Sucks that you can't go to Seoul, which I am sure you were really looking forward to, but glad you were able to get the refund.
