It is August 1!

New month, new hope, new everything! I saw on TV news last night, that vaccines might be available by December. The government has a budget for that-providing free vaccines for 20 million poor Filipinos. That means, if that really comes, we still have 4 more months to live in fear. What about in your country, any positive news as far as vaccine is concerned? Will respond later to all the notifications. Happy Saturday to all!

The news about vaccine is the same world over. The closest candidate is the one from Oxford university which may come by year end. There is a production facility for this vaccine in our country and it is already ready to used as soon as final clearance is granted. There is another indigenously developed vaccine which is undergoing human trials.

@Janet357 The owner of the firm engaged in manufacture of vaccine from Oxford university has said that they will be giving it to the people of India at a subsidized price of Rs. 1000/- per dose which is equivalent to about $15 but most probably the cost of the vaccine will be born by the government.

I highly doubt that a vaccine will be released this year. I do not believe the lies that this government is trying to force feed us.
