Due to Covid pandemic approximately more than 6 million workers have been furloughed or fired in Indonesia. Because of this, the crime rate starting to rise as many desperate people resort to crime in order to survive. To prevent this, the community members around here decided to put in extra effort by patrolling the neighborhood during the night. They are mostly composed of youngsters and some supervising adults. Even though this effort is voluntary by nature, people here decided to appreciate their effort by installing a small plastic cup on the front gate/door of our houses, and then fill the cup with some coins, which the patrolling groups are free to take.
Have you encounter similar effort in your neighborhood?

That's a good thing. Are the local police also helping them?
