Good Evening to all,
Its a festival time in my country but we can't celebrate due to this pandemic and feeling such sad because my sister also felt sad as she can't able to send Rakhi to us.
Its call Raksha bandhan and it related to brother and sister where sister visit brother home and tie rakhi on brother wrist with blessing of successful life where as brother give gift and blessing to protect her for lifetime. In our culture sister is like princess and we keep her like princess as cant see little bit pain of her.
Actually this festival related to our Lord Krishna as Draupadi tie his clothes to Krishna while blood was coming out and that time krishna told her that you helped me like my sister and i tell you that i will protect you when you need.
Once draupadi was in trouble where she need help and Lord Krishna did help her and saved her from biggest trouble. Its a long story but i kept short.
This day mostly people eat sweet and thus though we not celebrate it as usual but we bought Kaju Katri which one of my friends relative made as home so its good and we enjoyed a lot. We talk our sister on phone and just sharing our talk as we can at least do it. we also made special food like Puran pori, kadhi, samosa in meal so its a great day overall.

Wish you a very happy Raksha Bandhan!! Thanks for enlightening us with the story of how this festival came about. Since I'm from the South, I didn't know about this background story and only knew that it celebrates the bond between a brother and sister. Even though it's not a traditional festival at my place, I have always tied rakhi and celebrated it with my cousin brother as I do not have a brother of my own. I have always loved a lot of things about the North and this is just one of those
