Face Shield Anyone?

In this pandemic times, we all have to be extra careful. I keep on seeing people who are already wearing face-shield as well. I'm considering wearing that the next time I get out of the house. It can cover the eyes as well so I think it's a better way to protect myself from the virus.
Do you think it's necessary? Or I'm just getting affected by the marketers of this product?

I don´t have one but I´d love to have it now that I´ll be able to walk around the block. I think it is much better than the mask.

I think so too. At least you can breathe freely without having to worry that you will catch something.

@marguicha NO, it is not better than the mask, it does not protect enough. The waiters here wore those for more comfort and many have been contaminated.

It's just additional protection but you still need to wear your mask.

@cherriefic They suggest surgical mask plus protective eye glasses here, the masks does not seem to offer any good protection.

Yeah, I think that's why I'm still thinking about it. But it's being sold really cheap compared to having to use the face mask. Maybe I will get one and try it out.

They are saying that you might get COVID through the eyes; so better be safe than sorry.

It's only necessary for those who work with patients and must be well fitting.
Since I don't run out and about, a face mask is fine for me. I'd never be able to wear my reading glasses with one of those shields and take them off and put them on over and over again. lol

They look much better protection to me. I'd be buying one if I needed it.
