Dehydration

Did you know that many spend up to 75% of their lives dehydrated. Are you constipated much of the time? Have you not eaten any highly colored foods or supplements and yet your urine is dark yellow or dark orange? (Your urine should be about the color of lemonade). Are you drinking a lot of pop, coffee, etc. and thinking you are getting enough 'liquids'? That is all fine and good but 'liquids' and 'water' are too very different things. Most organs, even your blood, needs water to function correctly. Eating oily foods such as fish or avocado can help with this problem. Prunes are great as well and items with a lot of fiber. Drinking plenty of water is very important each day. Irrability, headaches, dry lips and hands, dry eyes, brain fog, imparied memory, dry mouth, and lack of concentration can be caused by dehydration. Listen to your body. If you feel thirsty drink some water. Sugary pops and juices aren't going to take care of the problem. If you have indigestion from time to time drinking a little water may take care of this. Cramps and spasms can also be caused by dehydration. After exercise and or even swimming. Urinary tract infections can be caused by dehydration. Dehydration can become serious and even incredibly dangerous. Not drinking enough water can cause a person to be unable to lose weight. This is because the body will get a puffy look to it and the body is caused to store fat and not have it washed out of the body if you aren't drinking enough water. Feeling dizzy, rapid heartbeat and rapid breathing can mean this has gotten to a serious stage. A person should drink 2.7 to 3.7 liters each day. That is about 11 to 16 cups each day. For women about 11 cups(pregnant women should drink about 12 cups) and for men, 12 to 16.

I have been drinking a serious amount of water lately due to the heat and how much I work. On average, I drink 2 gallons a day but thanks to the heat and working even harder at work, I've gone through three gallons of water a day.

I hate water and never drink enough. My kidney function is always off when I'm tested. I need to force myself to drink more.

Why not? First thing in the morning, then in mid day and some in the evening.
