Wanted to buy more RAM and maybe more storage for my PC but then...

The price of Ram and HDD are skyrocketing here. Ram is the memory module of a PC that handles temporary memory management for programs and softwares. While HDD is the main storage for most PCs. There's a new form of storage called SSD that's faster, but being a new tech SSDs are still quite expensive for a lot of people. I guess this price hike is caused by the pandemic since it disrupts export/import process in many countries. And my country is still unable to produce reliable PC hardwares yet, that's why we rely on imported hardware form another countries. Oh well, will have to wait until the price normalize again...

That is also my take on the rising prices of computer parts and accessories. The travel ban in some countries effected a shortage hence the price increase.

Yup, most PC parts in my country are imported from China.

@JohnKu so that's it. Chinese goods may have been banned there.

I don't think it's banned here, it's just that some imports have been halted to limit the virus spread.

I'm afraid the pandemic will stay at least until 2021, at least in my country, it's not looking good after all.
