Got a compliment yesterday, that sure made my Day!

Donna took me to Kroger yesterday to pick up a few things I needed. While there I used the motorized wheelchair to get around a little faster. As I came to the end of one aisle I saw a lady coming from the left in the main aisle, I stopped but got out just a tad into the aisle. She apologized but I told her it was my fault that they need traffic lights at the Intersections, which made both of us chuckle a little.
Well I turned and this other lady stopped and told me that I had a nice smile. I stopped and said "Thank you. but how can you tell? I am wearing a mask" She told me that she can tell by my eyes, that they were sparkling. I never knew my eyes sparkled, lol. But I gracefully accepted her compliment and rolled away very happy.
That just shows you how much impact a few kind words are to people, especially in these trying times with all the negativity.
So be kind to one another. you just might make their day a little happier.

That is funny that you mentioned that, because I had someone tell me the same thing last week! I asked the same question..."how can you tell, I'm wearing a mask," and they said they could see it in my eyes! So interesting how a simple smile can light up our entire faces.
That was nice that you received such a nice compliment, and that it left you feeling good. If more people realized how much a simple compliment means to people, this world would be a much better place!

Don't know when I started but I set a goal of giving compliments to at least 5 strangers a day--of course I am not going out that much now so I include neighbors!!
